Thoughts on Iraq
Portland distinguished itself again as the Northwest Center for blind Bush hatred again, holding a rally with the usual suspects. While reportedly a rally against the war in Iraq, any Northwest resident could tell you that Portland could get 10,000 to turn out for any "progressive" cause, particularly on a good weather day in March. They certainly wouldn't have any conflict with church services on Sunday, and if they did, it would probably be a Unitarian service and their pastors would likely be leading verses of L'Internationale.

I really don't want to spend any time on the rally, as these are deeply unserious people who do not merit much thought, I did want do direct anyone reading to review a recent post by Mohammed at Iraq the Model. It is good to get perspective from persons such as Mohammed, who actually have knowledge of what they speak of. As for the protestors, get therapy for the ongoing trauma of the 2000 election. The Bush/Hitler analogy is silly, and you are doing Rove's work for him.
