Crazy Susan Spins Again
Looks like Crazy Susan McLain has again failed to be an advocate for her Washington County constituency at Metro. The issue, discussed some here before, is the City of Cornelius pursuing a UGB amendment north of town to bring in employment lands for economic development and fiscal stability.
She originally voted for the amendment, but when the big scary State questioned Metro's findings, she buried her head in the sand and reversed her vote. So, Cornelius can do nothing in the way of offering land to firms - with serious proposals - that will pay family wage jobs. And still worse, Cornelius doesn't have an advocate representative at Metro to count on for assistance.
Disgraceful. Whose interests do you serve, Ms. McLain? Clearly not those of the jurisdictions and residents that you "represent."
Tom Cox for Metro Council NOW.

Susan Maclean is a prime example of the problem with incumbancy. There is really no one on Metro Council less qualified than Maclean, and certainly none less intelligent.
