Wal-Mart Pulling Businesses to Eagle Point

Say it ain't so! Apparently, the pending construction of a Wal-Mart Supercenter in rural Eagle Point, Oregon is attracting other businesses to the area that wouldn't have given it a second thought.

Anyone familar with Medford/Rogue Valley knows the drive from Eagle Point to the Crater Lake Highway retail concentration in Medford is brutal - traffic and thick fog. So Wal-Mart is actually retaining shopping in Eagle Point and alleviating long drives for Eagle Point residents by bringing other businesses with it.
